Zubar has agreed to do a monthly breaks night due to the success of a couple of Saturdays in March that went off extremely well. Breaks are back in Dallas! Check back for dates and schedules.

DJ Love's debut album for Air Recordings continues to shape up quite well. On the remix tip, lookout for some "Lovely" reworks for UK legends, The Dub Pistols,
Spain's hottest breaks act Telephunken, and Salt Lake City rock band Cavedoll.
For you hip-hop heads, future Stellar Music is branching out to contribute to the culture by releasing fresh, new underground hip-hop joints produced by DJ Love featuring some of the most talented up-and-coming MCs on the planet.
A new year brings a lot of new things. Including a new breaks mix from DJ Love. It's been long overdue but, expect a lot of more mixes coming up very soon.
Ahh...the holidays are here. First of all, happy holidays to each and every one of you out there, however and whenever you may celebrate. For Stellar Music, celebration is in order for another finished track for the upcoming DJ Love album on Air Recordings. Hip hop legend Special Ed
made a stop in Dallas and blessed the mic for a selection to be included in the yet to named debut LP.

The album for Air Recordings is coming along nicely. The track "Zigga Zigga!" featuring Camp Lo has been completed and will appear on the album along with a few other classic hip hop artists whom have agreed to contribute...but, we'll keep that under wraps for now.
On the Stellar Music front, the "shark" has been caught and killed and it is now the time for the return of Stabilizer. Back to his original moniker, Stabilizer's next releases are about to hit the shelves. VIsit virb.com/stellarmusic to hear "Alpha Tool" which includes the original and a slammin' remix by Myagi.
For fans of the "Pushin' Buttons" series, Love will return with another floor rocker and a nice double A-side featuring Stabilizer on the flip.

On the production side of things, DJ Love has teamed up with Camp Lo for his upcoming album on Air Recordings for the first hip hop track released from Love. Not bad for a first offering, eh? Rumor has it the Jungle Brothers could be involved with the album as well. For the next release on Air Recordings, MC/B-Boy extraordinaire, Leon The Pro grabs the mic and kills it on a breaks track called "It's Hot!" for the a side but, the b-side could be doused with "Pro-fessional" lyrics as well. More to come.
Next up in Stellar Music releases is a jumpin' joint called "Alpha Tool" from Stabilizer featuring a remix by Myagi, our good friend from the north...the Great White North. Stay tuned for more info!
It's been a while since the site has been updated but, there have been some changes and developments for Stellar Music and DJ Love. Lets start by giving a huge thanks to Layne Riley of Starwood Hotels and The W Dallas for all the help she's given Stellar Music over the past year. Here's to a great future.
After rocking Toronto for New Years Eve, NYC, and Houston, it's back in the studio and time for some hard work on the first album from DJ Love to be released on Air Recordings in London. More on this as the beats get dropped.(Hint: breakbeats with rap vocals from Leon the Pro.)
The next release for Stellar Music is finally upon us. It's been a long hard road getting through some tough obstacle like getting rid of bad resources losing some really good resources like Watts Music in NYC and Intergroove in London. But, Stellar Music has finally found a new home so look out for Mako Shark's second offering on Stellar Music and Stellar Music's 9th release, "Bully Boys" b/w "Zombie March". Two tough breaks numbers that are truly worthy of the Stellar Music label...or is it the other way around? Perhaps Stellar Music is lucky to be worthy, yes? Either way, watch out dance floors. Two more records will follow this release and finally, after over two years, a release by DJ Love will come out on Stellar Music. You know the steez so, get ready.

On a not so happy note, R.I.P. to my friend Mike Holiday, whom I met awhile back inToronto. Mike was adamant to book me to headline at the first annual Anmyeondo Music Festival in South Korea. Mike was diagosed this summer with cancer which, shockingly, left him very little time left. He passed away July 24th. Unfortunately, the music festival has been cancelled. Thanks and props to Mary for her efforts to try to make the festival a reality.
Juice'd NYC is the next big trip. July 7th is the date, Leopard Lounge Sin Sin is the place. The ultimate in Big Apple breaks hosts another Juice'd NYC party featuring yours truly, DJ Love, and many more. For more info, check out Juice'd NYC.

In the breakbeat oven as we speak: DJ Love presents "Steez", a new one for Ali B's Air Recordings. Some serious funk. On the flip will be the ragga rockin' "Rolling Fire". Mako Shark's "Club Jacket" and "Gang Boy" are making the rounds in promo status and receiving great feedback. Should be on the shelves very soon. "Bully Boys" and a new one from Mako Shark are up next on Stellar Music as well as another Pushin' Buttons from the Love man and a nice flip for the floors to boot. Stay tuned.
Also, join me in congratulating Stef Goodchild AKA Stabilizer AKA Mako Shark on another addition to his family. Noah was born on September 6th. With Jude, he's got a real "Future DJs of The World Coalition" kicking off over there. ;)
September 4th 2005: Labour of Love 2005, Toronto, ON
Lined up with Deekline, Atomic Hooligan, Evil Nine, and T.O. locals D-Monic and Angus Robinson.
Just back from the UK and Thailand with a few bits of news for the fans. First, check out the feedback for "All The Way" on Air Recordings. After such a good response, Ali B has decided to sign another release to Air Recordings due out very soon.
Up next is the first single from Mako Shark. Now you can view the music video for "Club Jacket", one of the tracks on Stellar Music's 8th release.
The tour dates were a huge success. It was quite a treat playing alongside Krarty Kuts, Rennie Pilgrim, Hyper, Atomic Hooligan, Kid Kenobi and MC Shureshock, the Eden Collective, and the super-funkster, Joe Ransom. Cheers to all the people I hung out with in the UK including my good friends Alex and Elliot of Skeewiff, The Stanton Warriors, Andy Gardener of the Plump DJS, Jay Cunning, Leah from Finger Lickin', and the host with the most, DJ Ali B. Shout outs to Tico, Average White DJ, Stef Goodchild and family.
Next up was Thailand...and it started off really bad. First, my ticket was "voided" from London to Bangkok. So, after purchasing a ticket, flew to Bangkok to do a hip hop set only to have my hip hop bag not show up. It ended up lost in luggage land. This left me with nothing but breaks to play for a hip hop crowd at Bed Supperclub. DJ Octo rocked the night while we tried to figure out a game plan. We decided to that I would play breaks in the hip hop room. What could have been a complete disaster turned out to be quite an educating experience for Bed's usual crowd. After about 15 minutes, they go into it and even cheered at the end of the night. So maybe, just maybe, the breaks crowd is widening. Peace to DJ Octo for also being the host with the most in Bangkok. Can't wait to go back.
And if you're were wondering, the records showed up the day after the gig...in a bag that had been totally ripped and torn. Records were fine, though.
